Atwima Kwanwoma DCE gives free Cocoa seedlings to farmers

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma, Nana Otchere Tawia Antwi, has distributed sixty five (65000) improved Cocoa seedlings to farmers in the district.
This according him will enable the farmers to produce high quality cocoa beans that will meet international standards.The DCE in a remark during the distribution exercise noted that the move is also to compliment efforts by the central government to boost cocoa farming in the country.
He assured the farmers of President Akuffo Addo’s commitment to provide all the necessary agro inputs needed for the Planting for Food and Jobs programme as promised in the building and up to the 2016 elections.
Nana Otchere Tawia Antwi urged the farmers to support and cooperate with the district’s agriculture officers in executing modern farming methods so that the purpose for distributing the cocoa seedling would be achieved. He called on the youth to shun drugs like tramadol and channel their energies into farming to help boost food security in the country.
More than hundred (400) farmers from over ten (10) farming communities in the Atwima Kwanwoma District benefited from the free improved cocoa seedlings distribution.
