Church is not magical place –Apostle Kingsford Amoo
The Ashanti Regional Apostle for the Church of Christ Spiritual Movement at Fanti New Town in Kumasi, John Kingsford Amoo, has stated that the Lord Jesus Christ was on the earth to establish the Church with the sole purpose of saving the lost souls but today, some cassocked cheats have turned it to a place of magic performance, under the pretext of miracles.
He said it behooves the true men of God to carry the missionary work right from the streets and gather the lost souls under one roof to preach and pray with them until there is total salvation for them.
Apostle Amoo made the statement when the Church launched an appeal for funds to complete its building partly destroyed by severe rainstorm some eight years ago.
The Apostle bemoaned the current situation in the country where some self-styled Pastors are only in pursuit of money and deviating from the core mandate of preaching the truth. These pastors according to him have been duping unsuspecting Christians in the house of the Lord which is considered to be a place of holiness.
Apostle Amoo further stated that the Church of Christ Spiritual Movement in Kumasi lost many members due to the disaster as there was no place to assemble and worship God.
He therefore made a passionate appeal to individuals, the affluent and various organizations to assist in the completion of the chapel to promote the work of God.
