20 new Metro Mass Transit buses in town
The Akufo-Addo administration, in two years, has made great strides in building this nation. Various sectors of the economy have received rapt attention in the almost two years upon the assumption of office of the administration.
The management of Metro Mass Transit has imported twenty (20) new Daewoo model buses to add to the fleet of buses the outfit has. Quite a number of the old buses have broken down, calling for new ones to be imported to replace them.
It must also be stated that the previous management, though was not oblivious of the fact that the outfit needed additional vehicles to augment its fleet, nothing concrete was done towards that direction.
It has taken the Akufo-Addo-led government to revive this outfit which was in ruins when the government was sworn into office on January 7, 2017, after a resounding victory in the 2016 general elections.
The John Agyekum Kufuor-led New Patriotic Party administration, upon realizing that the then existing public transportation system was nothing to write home about, thought it ideal to resurrect that dead outfit.
As a result of this, he brought the Metro Mass Transit system with the importation of buses to help ferry Ghanaians to and fro across the country.
Metro Mass, as it is popularly referred to, has become a friend to so many people in the cities, towns and villages. Its affordability, as well as the comfort of use, have endeared the people to the transport service.
As part of his decision to transform the transportation sector, 20 new buses have been procured for the Metro Mass Transit by the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
