Intensify the fight against HIV/AIDS – Ghana Aids Commission

The Director-General of the Ghana Aids Commission, Mr Kyeremeh Atuahene has called on stakeholders and well-meaning Ghanaians to intensify the fight against HIV/AIDS.

He said it is worrying most people think the pandemic is not as serious as it was some time ago. And so they have relented on their efforts in reducing the cases to the barest minimum.

Mr Atuahene reiterated that Ghanaians are becoming more exposed to the HIV virus due to negligence. He said ‘women now fear pregnancy than HIV’.

He, therefore, called on the government, religious and civil society organisations to restrategize. Since this would go a long way in helping the Ghana Aids Commission achieve its target.
