Member of Parliament elect for the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been named as the new spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party’s transition team.
He takes over from Mustapha Hamid, who is also the spokesperson of president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The development was announced on Monday at a meeting of both transition teams of the outgoing National Democratic Congress government and the incoming NPP.
Oppong Nkrumah ditched broadcasting to run on the ticket of the NPP prior to the December 7 polls.
He however polled 17,141 votes during the general elections and is expected to be in the next Parliament which will start work on January 6 2017.
