President Akufo-Addo will solve DKM issue – Aggrieved customers
Spokesperson for the aggrieved customers of rogue and liquidated micro-finance firm, DKM in the Brong Ahafo region, Maxwell Mahama says President Akufo-Addo promised to look into the Issue of locked up investments of customers when voted into power.
According to him, the then presidential candidate of the Npp, Nana Addo during the campaign period only promised to follow the issue with keen interest to ensure that the problem is solved, but did not make it a manifesto promise to pay money’s directly to affected customers.
Aggrieved customers of DKM micro-finance begun sending messages to President Akufo-Addo to honor his promise of releasing locked up investments to them as part of his promises, immediately after the President was sworn into office.
But Finance minister designate, Ken Ofori Atta during his vetting disclosed that releasing locked up investments to aggrieved customers of DKM was not part of the New Patriotic party’s Manifesto promises.
Maxwell Mahama however, expressed confidence in President Akufo-Addo to use his power as President of the state to look into the matter and find a solution that will bring relief to all aggrieved customers of DKM.
He told Otec fm that, Nana Addo on 2 occasions including his thank your tour in the Brong Ahafo region reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the Issue is solved and put to rest.
