Change in Government must reflect in our attitude – Moderator

The moderator of the international council of churches and Ministers of Great britain (ICCMB), His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Samuel Richard Addae has called for attitudinal change to conform with the change in government if indeed, the nation is to develop.

Archbishop Dr. Addae pointed out that working and walking in the righteousness of God is the sure way to ensure that the change in government is having a positive impact in our lives.

He thanked God for a successful and peaceful election and intimated that the government needs the support of the citizenry coupled with fervent prayers for accelerated development.

He bemaoned how a predominantly christian country like Ghana is now sadly full of corrupt practises including sakawa, false prophets, lies, murder and fornication making our christian life questionable.

According to him, going to church alone will not guarantee anybody a ticket to heaven unless we obey and grow a deep reverence for God.

The presiding Archbishop of the Shiloh United Church at Abuakwa Kumasi also condemned the lukewarm attitude and the persuance of Material things by most Christians saying it will be difficult to get to heaven doing that but by accepting Jesus Christ as saviour.
