Agric Minister donates double-cabin cargo van to vegetable farmers

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has presented a double-cabin cargo van to Peace and Love Vegetable Growers Association in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region

The move according to the Ministry was to support agricultural operation and vegetable production in the region.

Speaking at a short event at Ginyase on Monday April 11, 2022, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Afriyie Akoto said  his outfit has rolled out  programmes  to strengthen extension services to farmers, establish market linkages for farmers, enhance research, develop and re-orient farmers  to be agri-business inclined.

He pledged the government’s support to diversify the Agriculturzl economy through vegetable production in the country.

He urged the farmers to put the vehicle into good use to yield the intended results

He assured the ministry’s suport to the vegetable farmers for improved production.

The Chairman for Peace and Love Vegetable Growers Association Mr John Yeboah commended the Ministry for their support.

He pledged that the farmers will continue to produce more vegetables to support the country’s food basket.
