The Meat Factory donates to Ashanti School of Deaf, Mampong Babies’ Home

The Meat Factory as part of activities to mark the beginning of the new year has donated to the Ashanti School of the Deaf at Jamasi and the Mampong babies home (MBH) all in the Ashanti region.

The items donated included assorted meat from The Meat Factory, bags of rice, gallons of oil,milk, sugar, diapers, boxes of mackerel, first aid medicines, detergents, among others amounting to thousands of cedis.

The Meat Factory at the Mampong Babies home organized a free health screening for the babies and the staff .

Presenting the items the Chief Executive of the Meat Factory Dr Fred Bedzrah said the company in line with their corporate social responsibility was once again attending to the needs of the underprevillaged in society.

He noted that the company was dedicated to ensuring the good health of the community within which it operates. He assured that the company is committed to the sustainability of the environment and would continue to support the public in areas where their services are needed most.

Speaking to Kwame Agyenim Boateng, Dr Bedzrah noted that their firm is bent on solving the high protein deficit in the Ashanti region by providing quality meat at a reduced price.

He disclosed that The Meat Factory will soon open over 15 outlets in the Ashanti Region to bring meat to the door steps of their customers

The Assistant Headmistress in charge of Academics at the Ashanti School for the Deaf Mrs Magret Apenteng receiving the items on behalf of the school thanked the Meat Factory for their kind gesture.

She disclosed that the school which was established in 1977 with only nine students can now boast of 610 students.

She however lamemted that managers of the facility are in difficult times as they lack the needed fund and food to give to the inmates.
