Hajia Mama presents assorted fruits and vegetables to Otec FM
Hajia Mama Fruits and Vegetables Shop at Ahodwo, suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, has presented assorted fruits and vegetables to the management and staff of Otec FM, a Kumasi based private radio station.
The items which include both local and tropical were apples, stone fruits, berries, pumpkin seeds, dragon fruits, egg plants and melons.
Star fruits, kiwi fruit, bananas, cabbages, broccoli, Brussels sprouts among others were also included in the presentation that took place at the premises of Otec 102.9 FM at Asawasi in the Asokore Mampong municipality of the Ashanti region on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Presenting the items to the management, the CEO of the company, Hajia Rukaya Salifu, said the presentation was to boost the management and staff well-being with the essential vitamins and minerals.
“Various kinds of diseases that affect the people can be directly linked to the types of food they consume which do not contain the required essential vitamins and minerals to boost the immune system. But taking these fruits and vegetables will help you grow healthier, especially you guys who don’t have time for regular medical checkups due to your tight work schedules,” she noted.
“Am proud to associate myself with Otec FM, a radio station which has been championing the well-being of the people through their health segments programmes, initiatives that have helped the people to improve their lives,” she boastfully added.
The host of Otec FM’s morning show, ‘Nyasapo’, Captain Koda, receiving the items on behalf of the management and staff, expressed his gratitude to Hajia Rukaya Salifu, also known as Hajia Mama or Maa Salim, for the kind gesture.
“We are most grateful to you (Mama Hajia) for these nutritious items to improve our health beings and we believe that it will boost and energize us to work tirelessly to serve the people with good programmes,” he added.
