GHANA MOST STRONGEST MAN IN HOT WATERS

A security man believed to attained 26 years of age Saani Mohammed of Ghana most strongest fame was brought to Kumasi circuit court 4 presided over by His lordship Justice John Eckow Mensa for allegedly accused of three charges (i) assault, (ii) causing harm and (iii) unlawfully causing damage, contrary to sections 84, 69, and 172 of the criminal offences Act 29.

CAUSING HARM: Contrary to section 69 of the criminal offences Act 1960 (Act 29)

SAANI MOHAMMED: Security man on the 24^th day of September, 2016 at Adugyama near Mankranso in the Ashanti region and within the jurisdiction of this court caused harm to one Rev. Father Daniel Afum.

STATEMENT OF OFFENCES

CAUSING UNLAWFUL DAMAGE: Contrary to section 172 (1b) of the criminal offences Act, 1960 (Act 29)

PARTICULARS OF OFFENCES

SAANI MOHAMMED: Security man on the 24^th day of September 2016 at Adugyama near Mankranso in the Ashanti region and within the jurisdiction of this court intentionally and unlawfully caused damaged to the tail light, side mirror and tyre of Toyota Corolla No AW 1722-13, the property of one Rev. Father Anthony Awuah Boateng .

BRIEF OF FACTS

Presenting the fact police prosecutor C/inspector Felix Akowuah told the complainants are Rev. Father Anthony Awuah Boateng and Rev.Father Daniel Afum the assistant Parish priest and the Parish Priest respectively at Adugyama near Mankranso.

The accused Saani Mohammed is the winner of the 2013 Ghana Most Strongest and resident of Mankranso. He furhter stated that on 24^th of september, 2016 at 5pm first complainant Rev. Father Anthony Awuah Boateng and witness were driving from Bumso No2 to Adugyama in a Toyota Corolla No AW 1722-13 when a certain man stopped them at the outskirt of the town for lift.

Whereas the first complainant stopped and picked the said man and moved their car they were crossed by the accused with an unregistered motorbike.

According to the prosecutor the first complainant demanded from the accused why he should ride like that and continued driving towards Adugyama. He said the accused did not understand  the first complainant’s action and gave him a chased with his motor bike.

First complainant on seeingthe accused chasing them sped off as the accused started throwing stones at them which one hit the right side of driving mirror and the right side tail light causing damage to it.

Chief Inspector Akowuah further told the court  while the first complainant still afraid of his live continued to sped off as the accused again managed to cut the right back tyre of the car with a knife but the first complainant continued to drive on the said tyre till he got to Adugyama Junction where he stopped.

There the accused came and parked in front of their car and pulled the first complainant Rev Father Anthony Awuah Boateng out and gave him several blows on his face he added.

He told the second complainant was in his office heard the noise and came out to beg, but the accused after hearing the second complainant is also a Priest became more furoius and gave him a blow which he fell down.

He said the second complainant held the accused leg to beg him from the floor but he rather stabbed his head with a knife, before people came into their rescue. The prosecutor  told the court. He said accused in his cautioned statement amitted the offences and stated that he did that due to anger  and after investigations the accused was charged with the above offences and put before the court.

However the counsel for the accused Saani Mohammed lawyer Charlse Owusu Ansah is yet to start his cross examination, whereas the case has been adjourned to 19^th October, 2016
