NGO builds ultramodern clinic to the students of Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY INCORPORATED, has handed over an ultramodern clinic to the students of Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS at Trabuom in the Ashanti Region.

The clinic which was constructed eleven years ago and refurbished in 2022 by the NGO is flitted with improved electricity, bathrooms modern toilets among others.

The global NGO also commissioned a newly built mechanized bole hole for the school to improve access to quality water supply for the students.

Speaking to OTEC News Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Fridays September 30, 2022, the president for the NGO, Madam Valerie Hollingsworth Baker said the move was part of the NGO’s efforts to empower the girl child.

She underscored the need to promote girls in education and support them with the needed support to excel in their careers.

Madam Vareri pledged the group’s continued support for support for the education sector.

“We are proud of this beautiful project because it means a lot to me and the past president who envisioned this, and now that we have it fully running again we have ensure continuous maintenance to help the students get immediate access to quality health care whiles in school “.

The Headmistress of Afua kobi Ampem Senior High school, Madam Slyvia Newton said the commission of the borehole and clinic will help in the health care delivery of over 3,600 students.

She applauded the group for their immense support to the school over the years and assured the NGO of maintaining the clinic to serve generations yet unborn.

Madam Sylvia Newton however called on the government and other stakeholders in the education sector to help the school get a befitting dining hall to reduce wastage of contact hours as students go to dining in batches.
