Dr Nana Yaw Boakye,  an NPP member and parliamentary hopeful for Asokwa has provided ten packs of bottled water and a cash of One thousand Ghana cedis to agents of the party.

At a brief presentation ceremony at the regional offices of the Electoral Commission at Danyame, the medical practitioner said the gesture was intended to support the activities of the party in the ongoing limited registration exercise.

He noted that party agents sit for long hours during the exercise and therefore needed water and others for refreshment.

“My gesture is intended to provide some refreshment to our hardworking agents and to cater for some operational costs”, Dr Yaw Boakye stated.

He told this reporter that as a party member who would want to lead the Asokwa NPP as its parliamentary candidate in 2024 it was needful that he showed support to the party at such exercise.

Dr Boakye who was unsuccessful in his earlier bid to contest as parliamentary aspirant for the NPP before the 2020 polls, said he was upbeat of his success in February 2024 where the part will hold its internal primaries.

He noted that he had kept faith with his team members since the last unsuccessful attempt and was sure that the grounds was fertile for him this time.

“I have kept faith with my coordinators and supporters and i know i will have the chance to contest and win to lead the NPP as its parliamentary candidate for the 2024 election”, the Medical practitioner stressed.

Receiving the items, Kwaku Anarfi, Youth Organiser of Asokwa NPP thanked Dr Boakye for the gesture.

He noted that water was in constant demand by the party’s agents and therefore it was a welcome donation.

The Youth Organiser also promised on behalf of the constituency to use the funds to attend to other pressing matters.

He also called for similar support from members of the constituency so that agents assigned to monitor the registration exercise could do so well.
