The family of the five-year-old boy who was beheaded last week at Sokoban in the Kumasi Metropolis has appealed to the Chief Justice and the Attorney General Department to punish the perpetrators in equal measure.

Narrating the incident to OTECNEWS at their Suame residence, Mr. Kwasi Kunsana 40, the father of the late KG1 pupil said the only remedy that would reduce their pain is to behead them in the way the suspects did to their beloved kid.

Two suspects are currently in police custody for their involvement in the beheading of the five-year-old. The suspects later led police to retrieve the body in an uncompleted building.

He stated that it came as surprise to them when he was informed on that fateful day that Silas could not be found between hours of 7 PM and 8 PM.

Mr. Kwasi Kunsana a native of Jirapa in the Upper West Region said after brief search without avail, a report was made at Suame Police Station.

He said the entire family was devastated by the news that Silas Kunsana has been beheaded for ritual purposes.

The Devastated family

”The perpetrators should be killed the same way they killed my son. They used a knife to cut off his head and I want the same to be done to them. I am in grief and I have not even eaten for five days”. Mr. Kwasi Kunsana stressed .

‘’If Government does not treat the perpetrators, in the same manner, I will not be a happy man. The situation might even lead to my death,” he lamented.

On her part the mother of the child, Janet Salifu called on the police service to expedite processes to release the beheaded body for burial.

She also appealed to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Suame Constituency and Government to help her financially to lessen the burden on her.

“Even if the body is released to us for burial, it is going to be difficult for us financially. So we are calling on Government to assist us”, she appealed.

Her first two daughters, who are also twins, are in Senior High School (SHS).

Saguster and Sagut Dakorah could not hold their grief either and also called for justice.
