NPP primaries: Hon Freda Prempeh pledges unflinching support to Dr Gideon Boako

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North in the Ahafo region, Hon Freda Prempeh, has promised to rally behind Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to ensure presidential victory in the 2024 elections.

After losing the parliamentary primaries to Dr Gideon Boako, the spokesperson for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, she said they will work hard as a team to maintain the Tano North seat.

Hon Freda Prempeh, who is also the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, said “we will rally behind Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, our NPP flag bearer, through massive campaigns across constituencies for the realization of the party’s ‘breaking the 8’ mantra”.

Hon Freda Prempeh was speaking to the media at Mim in the Asunafo North municipal in Ahafo region during the commissioning of Mim Water Supply Project on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Asked by journalists if she was disappointed in the delegates for losing the primaries, she replied “the delegates have spoken and I have taken it in good faith”.

“I trust the delegates, I trust their judgment, I don’t hold anything against them and I don’t fault them,” she added.

“I will continue to serve the good people of Tano North constituency with my developmental agenda, and even do more,” she honourably assured.

Hon Freda Akosua Oheneafrewo Prempeh first entered Parliament in 2013, and has served Tano North constituency since.
