Over five house reportedly collapsed completely with 200 others having its roof ripped off in a heavy rainstorm that caused havoc in the community on Thursday May 17,2024.

Four days after the incident, residents displaced say,  they are yet to receive any relief items either from state agencies of private organizations.

Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng, on Monday May 19, 2024, the Assembly Member for Jachie East Electoral Area, Hon Rachard Bimpeh revealed that the residents are in dire need of help.

He noted that most of them are either sleeping outside or are perching with their neighbors causing inconvenience for them.

He has therefore appealed to authorities in the district, Ashanti Region and Ghana at large to as a matter of urgency support the affected residents.
