2024 Elections: Don’t pay attention to prophecies – Very Rev. Polley-Johnston

The Superintendent Minister for the Ayeduase Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston has implored Ghanaians not to pay attention to some men of Ghana in the country who are currently prophesying political victories for the two main contenders of the 2024 general elections.

According to him, most of the prophets speak from their own non-inspired directions of God but from their political persuasions aimed at courting attention to themselves to seek followers.

Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston entreated such men of God to desist from such actions urging that One God could not give contradictory prophecies to two different Pastors to declare candidates winners in an elections yet to be held.

Former Presidents John Mahama of the NDC as well as the NPP flagbearer have all been declared winners respectively by some Ghanaian prophets.

But Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston insisted that the practice tends to breed animosity amongst the public adding that they should rather prophecy on development that empower growth of the Kingdom of God at all times.

Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston made the call when the Ayeduase Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana held its 10th Anniversary at Ayeduase in the Oforikrom constituency.

Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston further advised Ghanaians to go by their voting practice in more decorous manner devoid of attacks so that the democracy path we have chosen as a nation would be consolidated at all times.

He urged Ghanaians to refrain from any form of acts that would create violence before or after the elections so that the path of democracy we have charted over the years would be consolidated.
