President Akufo-Addo Hails Dr. Bawumia as Most Reliable Vice President in Ghana’s History

In a historic moment at the Manhyia Palace, President Nana Akufo-Addo has lavished praise on his vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, describing him as the most reliable vice president in Ghana’s history.

According to him, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has played a vital role in his eight year administration which he said has been very successful

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said this during the official introduction of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, and running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his Elders.

The official introduction came of on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the Manhyia Palace in the Ashanti Region

President Akufo-Addo expressed his gratitude for having a competent vice president like Dr. Bawumia.

“He has delivered on every task assigned to him,” President Akufo-Addo said, adding that Dr. Bawumia is the best person to take the mantle from him and manage the country.

“I am looking forward to a significant moment in Ghana’s political history, to pass the baton to my  trusted vice president after Ghanaians legitimately elect home as the next president of Ghana”.

 “This event at Manhyia Palace was a testament to the strong partnership between the NPP and Asanteman , and a show of confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead the country forward”.

President Akufo-Addo thanked the Asantehene for the support and guidance he has provided him in his  eight years as Ghana’s President.

For his  Part, the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II commended leadership of the governing NPP for electing their leaders for the 2024 peaceful

He called on them to conduct a peaceful campaign and tell the public what they intend to do for them devoid of insults.
