Asante Kotoko relieves Coach Prosper Ogum of IMC duties

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC has announced a significant restructuring of its Interim Management Committee (IMC), which sees head Coach Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh removed from his position as an IMC member as a result of a directive from the team’s patron, Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

In a statement released by Kotoko on Monday November 25, 2024, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum who previously worked as both the club’s head coach and a member of the IMC will now focus only on his role as the coach to optimize his efforts and enhance the team’s performance on the pitch

The statement explained that,  “this decision allows Dr. Ogum to channel his full attention toward his core duties as Head Coach, emphasizing his leadership in achieving success on the pitch and advancing the club’s sporting goals,”

The club has expressed appreciation to Dr Ogum for his immense contribution to the work of the IMC and reaffirmed its commitment to providing support to the technical team.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) will continue to work to strengthen the team’s administrative process and ensure its long term success.

The statement further indicated that, Asante Kotoko remains dedicated to achieving excellence both on and off the field.
