Election 2024: NDC better equipped to manage Ghana’s economy – Kwame Awuah Darko
Former Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery, Kwame Awuah Darko, has expressed his conviction that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is better equipped to handle Ghana’s ailing economy than the current leadership.
According to Darko, the NDC boasts competent individuals and technocrats with the necessary skill set to reset the economy, which he claims has been mismanaged by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an exclusive interview on Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM’s afternoon political show Dwabrem, on Friday November 29, 2024, hosted by Dr Cash, Darko accused the NPP of reckless economic management, urging voters to punish the party for taking them for granted.
He emphasized that the return of former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC is the only viable option for Ghanaians.
Notably, former President Mahama has pledged to revamp the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) if the NDC is voted into power in the upcoming elections.
This move is seen as a strategic effort to boost Ghana’s economy and energy sector. Darko’s endorsement of the NDC’s economic management capabilities aligns with Mahama’s promise to restore the country’s economic prosperity.
