Member of Parliament for the Abuakwaa South Constituency in the Eastern region, Hon. Dr. Kinsley Agyemang
Member of Parliament for the Abuakwaa South Constituency in the Eastern region, Hon. Dr. Kinsley Agyemang has revealed that the minority and opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to hold President John Mahama and the NDC party accountable with a new app.
The app, Promise Tracker is to ensure that promises made by the then opposition leader John Maham and his party are being fulfilled.
Speaking in an interview on Otec fm’s afternoon political talkshow dubbed Dwabrem hosted by Prince Nii Ade (Dok Cash) on Wednesday 22nd January, 2025, the former Scholarship Secretariat Registrar explained that the move is to help eradicate a mindset among Ghanaians that politicians do not honour promises they make during campaigns.
“We need to make Ghanaians know the differences among politicians. It is not every politicians who promise and fail so this time, the promise tracker will help Ghanaians know the politician they can trust” he said.
He however urged government to as a matter of urgency halt plans to increase prices of insurance premium. Dr. Agyemang believes if the increment takes effect, it would have a serious effect on the economy and the ordinary Ghanaian.
