In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, several New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency secretaries and organizers converged on Wednesday morning to pick regional executive nomination forms for Francis Adomako.

Mr Adomako, popularly known as “Francois”, a formidable figure in Ashanti regional politics, is officially launching his bid to transition from his current role to become the next Ashanti Regional Secretary in the party’s upcoming regional elections.

Grassroots Solidarity:

The delegation, which included influential constituency executives from Manhyia North, Manhyia South, Subin, Nhyiaeso, Asokwa, and Bantama, among others, descended on the Asokwa DMB Office as early as 6:00 AM.

Led by Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan (popularly known as Abouba), the former Organiser for the Manhyia South Constituency, the enthusiastic crowd filled the air with victory songs and chants, signaling strong grassroots backing for Adomako’s candidacy.

The delegation successfully secured the nomination forms from Eric Asonade, the Secretary to the Ashanti Regional Elections Committee.

Legacy:

Francis Adomako’s bid for the regional secretariat is backed by a stellar track record within the NPP’s stronghold.

He currently serves as the Ashanti Regional Organiser, a highly demanding mobilization role he has successfully won and executed for two consecutive terms.

Under his organizational leadership, the region has maintained its status as the party’s primary “power bank” during crucial national elections.

This deep-seated administrative and field experience is what supporters argue makes him the premier candidate to steer the party’s regional secretariat.

“Mr. Adomako has served this region faithfully, selflessly, and with unbridled commitment”, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan (Abouba) stated.

Speaking to the press after picking up the forms, Alhaji Abouba highlighted Adomako’s inclusive leadership style, emphasizing his approachable nature and readiness to assist party faithful at all levels.

“He is an all-embracing leader who has consistently shown kindness and loyalty to the party. Having acquired vast organizational knowledge and administrative experience through years of dedicated service, we are entirely convinced that Mr. Francis Adomako is the most qualified person to manage the administrative engine of our party in the Ashanti Region.”

Gratitude:

Following the pickup, the constituency leaders made a stop at Adomako’s residence to present him with the nomination documents.

Visibly moved by the gesture, the aspiring Regional Secretary expressed his profound gratitude to the team for their overwhelming show of loyalty and confidence.

He commended the executives for valuing his contributions to the party’s growth and pledged to run an efficient, modern, and unifying secretariat if elected.

Looking ahead, Adomako emphasized that his candidacy is centered on a broader strategic goal of securing a decisive victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.

“I am deeply humbled by this immense show of support and the appreciation of my modest contributions to the NPP,” Adomako stated.

He added, “I pledge to complete these forms and officially file them by Friday. This is the first step in our collective effort to rebuild and re-energize the party from its very stronghold. Together, we will lay the groundwork to secure a resounding national victory in 2028.”
