Kennedy Agyapong, Assin Central MP

With barely four months away from the December 7 Presidential elections, Osofo Kwaku Amponsah, who describes himself as a concerned citizen is asking the Assin Central Legislator,  Kennedy Agyapong to throw his hat in and contest the December 7 polls as an unaffiliated Presidential candidate.

This, according to him would lead to the economic freedom Ghanaians have long waited for since he is likely to win and lead Ghana.

In a release copied to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Osofo Kwaku Amponsah said Hon Kennedy Agyapong better understands the economic situation more than any of the Presidential candidates the conventional political parties were presenting for the December elections.

“The NPP and NDC are same in mindset and character and they have nothing to offer the Ghanaian people but a Kennedy Agyapong candidature would mean a departure from the old ways because he is a practical person who is determined do something different”, the concerned citizen stated.

Policies:

Osofo Kwaku said having been a businessman, entrepreneur and Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong understands governance, trade and economics better.

He noted that Kennedy Agyapong has been importing things from overseas for the past 30 years or more and has understanding of the issues plaguing persons whose trade involves imports and exports.

On the economy, Osofo Amponsah said the maverick Assin Central MP best understands what to do to make things work since on his own he has managed to trade, employ and open up job opportunities for thousands of youth in Ghana.

“The most important item to turn the economy of Ghana around is job creation and who best fits the bill than Kennedy Agyapong since on his own accord he has opened up job opportunities for the mass of the youth”, the concerned citizen posited.

Corruption:

Osofo Amponsah noted that the canker of corruption at public spaces including all sectors of the economy can best be dealt with by the Assin Central MP.

He said the MP has been on record to have stood against corruption in all of its forms.

He also mentioned that Ken Agyapong has been advocating for the scrapping of the four year looting of state resources by Members of Parliament (MPs) through the octopus idea called the “ex-gratia”.

“I believe in all honesty and by revelation that Hon Kennedy Agyapong as an unaffiliated President can lead a  cause that would ensure a dramatic change in the country since he by design and mindset is prepared to do the things that would inspire hope, create jobs, kill corruption and generate an economic turnaround for Ghana “, Osofo Amponsah insisted.
