Dumsor: Ashanti Regional Minister Attributes Power Outages to Faulty Underground Cables
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has identified faulty underground cables as the primary cause of the current power outages in the region.
This revelation came after a briefing from the leadership of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), who informed him of the issue.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dr. Amoakohene assured that ECG officials are working diligently to resolve the matter.
He emphasized that once the faulty cables are repaired, the power outages will cease to be a problem.
The minister also pledged to ensure that ECG works around the clock to provide a swift solution to the cable issue.
Dr. Amoakohene’s commitment to addressing the power outages is consistent with his vow to prioritize development across the Ashanti Region.
As the regional minister, he has emphasized the importance of completing stalled projects and ensuring continuity in development initiatives.
