Hon Bryan Acheampong ready reconstruct burnt Adum Bluelight Market

A Former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, has pledged to build shops destroyed by fire at Adum Bluelight.

According to him, he will rebuild the entire market within the span of one year if the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) give him the green light.

The Member of Parliament for Abetifi made this promise when he called on the traders to commiserate with them on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

During his visit, the MP donated GHC300,000 to the affected traders.

The Adum Bluelight market area recorded a devastating fire outbreak on March 21, 2025, destroying properties worth millions of cedis.
The deadly fire has left over 1,500 traders stranded.
Addressing the traders, the former minister assured them of his continued support.
He noted that he will work together with authorities to ensure the traders get back to their heyday.
