GLIMPS Micro-Credit Enterprise Tops Greater Accra at National AGM

GLIMPS Micro-Credit Enterprise has been adjudged Micro-Credit Institution of the Year (Zone 1) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Micro-Credit Association of Ghana.

The prestigious award, presented at a colourful ceremony held at the Rainbow Hotel in Takoradi from 18th to 19th September 2025, recognizes GLIMPS’ strict adherence to Bank of Ghana’s regulatory standards and its significant contribution to financial inclusion.

With over 600 registered micro-credit enterprises nationwide—300 of which operate in Greater Accra—GLIMPS emerged on top to clinch the coveted award under the Greater Accra category.

The recognition highlights GLIMPS’ consistent efforts in supporting small churches, entrepreneurs, and low-income earners with flexible and accessible micro-credit services. Over the years, the enterprise has become a trusted partner for many families, businesses, and communities seeking financial empowerment.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Manager of GLIMPS, Mrs. Enid Osei-Tete, expressed appreciation to the Association for the honour. “This award is not just for us but for the many small businesses, churches, and families we serve. It encourages us to continue expanding opportunities for financial growth across the country,” she said.

The Chairman of the Advisory Board for GLIMPS, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso, together with his wife Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong-Manso, commended the hard work of the entire staff. “This achievement is the result of collective effort. We are grateful to the Micro-Credit Association of Ghana for this recognition and for making the industry more visible in all regions,” Rev. Prof. Frimpong-Manso noted.

The event brought together key players in Ghana’s micro-credit industry and underscored the vital role such institutions play in lifting people out of poverty and boosting local economies.
