Fight over woman: one killed, another injured in Offinso

A 36-year-old man has been butchered to death during a fight over a woman at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, Kwabena Anokye, was allegedly killed by one Akwasi Anyam following a confrontation over a woman identified as Adwubi.
A source in the area told OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Monday, May 4, 2026, that Anokye had a child with Adwubi, but she later left him for Anyam.
“Anokye could not come to terms with Adwubi’s decision to break up with him, so he confronted the new man, in this case Anyam,” the source said.
The confrontation turned bloody, with the two engaging in a violent clash that led to Anokye’s death. Anyam sustained machete wounds during the fight.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, while Anyam is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
