The Assembly Hall of Obuasi Senior High Technical School transformed into an arena of inspiration and intellectual vigor as hundreds of students, educators, and industry leaders gathered for the Fire 4 Future Conference 2026 (Onsite Edition).
Designed as a catalyst for youth empowerment in one of Ghana’s historical mining hubs, the flagship symposium aimed to equip the emerging generation with the critical character traits, practical wisdom, and resilience necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world.
Convened by Richmond Ayi d’Almeida, Chief Executive Officer of Draema Services, in partnership with Mining Tools Pty GH Ltd., the summit addressed the vital theme of discovering and pursuing individual purpose.
Against the backdrop of Obuasi’s rich industrial heritage, the event sought to bridge the traditional divide between academic instruction and real-world execution by bringing students face-to-face with seasoned executives, health professionals, and civic mentors.
The conference was made possible through the benefactor support of Dr. Francis Kwame Ghunney, Group Chairman and Group CEO of Mining Tools Pty GH Ltd., a leader known for his philanthropic footprint in youth empowerment across Ghana.
Opening Address:
Delivering the opening address, Dr. Ghunney challenged the students to cultivate self-belief and adopt deliberate strategies toward career success and personal integrity.
“Investing in young minds is the single surest strategy for securing Ghana’s future,” Dr. Ghunney asserted, emphasizing that discipline, integrity, and excellence remain non-negotiable prerequisites for sustainable leadership.
He added that, “This conference was conceived precisely to bridge the gap between abstract academic learning and real-life success through direct mentorship.”
