Lack of school and electricity slowing down progress in Ankaase – Community leaders lament

The lack of a school and reliable electricity is slowing down progress in Ankaase, a growing community in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.

Community leaders say the absence of basic social amenities is affecting education and development, forcing children to travel long distances to school while residents struggle with darkness at night.

The Odikro of Ankaase, Nana Yaw, speaking with other community leaders, said the community’s population is increasing but government support has not matched the growth.

He appealed to the government to construct a school in Ankaase to improve access to quality education for children in the area.

They also lamented the poor lighting system, noting that the absence of electricity is making life difficult for residents and hindering economic activities after sunset.

The leaders are therefore calling on the government, through the Ashanti Regional Minister and other relevant authorities, to urgently extend electricity to the community and provide educational infrastructure.

They believe addressing these challenges will improve living conditions and accelerate development in Ankaase.
