Shareholder confidence drives 97% growth in Amansie Community Bank’s stated capital

Amansie Community Bank PLC in the Ashanti region has attributed its strong financial performance in 2025 partly to growing shareholder confidence, following a 97 per cent increase in its stated capital from GH¢6.5 million in 2024 to GH¢12.8 million in 2025.

The Board Chairman, Ben Kwakye-Adeefe Esq., said the increase in shareholders’ investment reflected their confidence in the bank and its management, describing the development as an important boost to its growth and operations.

He disclosed this in his annual report on the bank’s financial and operational performance at its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at its headquarters in Antoakrom, in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, on Friday, October 30, 2026.

The bank also recorded a more than 100 per cent increase in profit before tax, rising from GH¢36 million in 2024 to GH¢73 million in 2025.

Its total assets increased from GH¢761 million to over GH¢1 billion, while deposit mobilisation grew by 48 per cent to reach a record GH¢1 billion, making it the first community bank in the Ashanti Region to achieve the milestone.

“I wish to inform you that the confidence in the bank by shareholders manifested highly in their investment into the stated capital of the bank, hence increasing by 97 per cent, that is, from GH¢6.5 million in 2024 to GH¢12.8 million in 2025. The Board commends and congratulates you all for this impressive performance,” Mr Kwakye-Adeefe said.

He further announced that the bank has opened a new branch at Manso Keniago, as part of efforts to expand its operations.

The Chief Executive Officer, Frederick Kwakye Kyei, expressed satisfaction with the bank’s improving financial position, describing it as the number one community bank in the Ashanti Region.

“I implore you, the shareholders, to buy more shares and continue to have confidence in the management in their quest to drive the progress of the bank,” he said.

Mr Kwakye Kyei also highlighted the bank’s contribution to community development through infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Antoakrom Community Centre and renovation works at SDA Primary School at Antoakrom and Manso-Edubia United Primary School, as well as the provision of a science laboratory for Mamoman, among other projects.
