PDS releases load-shedding timetable
The Power Distribution Services, PDS, has released a load-shedding management timetable to guide consumers to plan their daily activities.
The load-shedding covers Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region, Central Region, Western Region and Volta Region.
The timetable follows a directive by the Energy Minister, Mr John Peter Amewu, to the power distributors to inform end-users about the periods that they will not have electricity within the 12-day shortfall.
Some parts of the country have been experiencing intermittent power outages in the past few weeks.
The government said that engineering works aimed at helping to transport gas from the western part of the country to the east, where the generation plants are located, is the reason for the outages, which are expected to cease by 12 April.
