Woman gets GH¢2500 capital after OTEC FM’s reportage

A Kumasi-based commercial radio station OTEC FM, as part of efforts to champion the plight of underprivileged in society has lead a crusade to raise GH¢2500 capital for a 34 year old single mother.

Madam Akosua Serwaah a native of Krofrom in the Kumasi metropolis who has been struggling to make means end after battling some illness run to OTEC FM for support.
A day after the woman’s story was aired on one of OTEC FM’s flagship programs “Asem Beba Dabi” hosted by Krobea Nana Asante some cherished listerners of the program called in to support the woman.

Akosua serwaa during the live interview with Krobea Nana Yaw Asante said she was previously selling pastries untill she was strike by an illness that claimed all her capital.
She told Krobea on the show that all she wanted was a chess freezer to start “pure water” business.
However the Asem Beba Dabi crew with support from their listeners provided more than enough to the needy woman.
Akosua Serwaah during the presentation received a chess freezer from one of the listeners and 30 bags of scahet water from Prophet Nkwantabisa and an undisclosed amount of money to start her business.
The host of Asem Beba Dabi Krobea Nana Yaw Asante told OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng he will continue to use the platform to highlight the struggles of the poor, needy and reach out to the community to help the less fortunate.
He added that his crew in line with one of the visions of OTEC FM will always make provision for the less privileged ones to put smiles on thier faces.
She called on the woman to manage the few resources she have now well in order to be self reliant and also support her child.
Akosua Sera however pledge to work with the capital in order for her to be self reliant again
She thank OTEC FM and it’s listerners for the support.
