Soldiers clash with drivers in Atonsu Unity Oil terminal

The taxi drivers at Atonsu-Asokwa Unity oil terminal clash with soldiers in Kumasi in the Ashanti region according to a program monitored at OTEC FM morning show (Nyansapo).

According to a report, the ADHOC committee set by Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) engaged the drivers association in the Asokwa area two months prior to relocating to Dompoase Kyirapatere. The new terminal is purposely built for taxi drivers in the Unity Oil terminal.

Thepressradio.com can confirm that, Taxi’s loading passenger to the following towns ( Gyakye, Pramso, Aputuogya, Bekwai) were cordially informed and were agreed by the Taxi Association and the ADHOC committee according to the association chairperson Samuel Donkor.

Otecnews Reporter Micheal Ofosu Afriyie who was at the scene   indicated that drivers are not at the new Kyirapatere taxi terminal as at 10AM.

Michael Owusu Afriyie observed that the new terminal is very quiet compared to the Unity Oil terminal. So far, as stated by the reporter, nobody is injured or dead.
