Nana Addo visits fire victims, death toll rises

President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has yesterday visited the victims of the Labadi gas explosion at the burns unit of the 37 military hospital in Accra.

Nana Addo urged the Doctors and nurses on duty to do the best they can to save the lives of the rest of the victims on admission, who have suffered severe burns from the gas explosion which injured many at Labadi on Thursday.

He sympathized with the victims and expressed worry about the timing of such a disaster.
” it is bad that such an incident should happen and on Christmas, i felt awful when i heard about it”, he lamented.

Meanwhile, the death toll, according to authorities has risen to 11 after two of the victims on admission, who suffered severe burns died yesterday.
