One person is reported dead with many others sustaining life threatening injuries when a speeding sprinter bus somersaulted after bursting a tyre at Kunsu wiawso on the sunyani road.
The Green and white sprinter bus with registration number AW 686 – 12 according to an eyewitness burst a tyre whiles speeding and in an attempt to apply the brakes lost control of the vehicle resulting in the fatal accident.
Eyewitnesses say the vehicle after zigzagging on the road hit the walls of a bridge and fell into a nearby stream leaving the vehicle smashed beyond recognition whiles passengers remained trapped inside.
The body of the deceased, a woman believed to be 40years of age, as at the time of filing the story was lying on the accident scene whiles the rest who sustained life threatening injuries had been rushed to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.
The police have arrived at the scene to undertake preliminary investigations
