Jostpong Ceo tried to bribe me – Abronye DC
Firebrand NPP Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC has alleged that the CEO of Jostpong group of companies, Dr. Siaw Agyapong attempted to bribe him with an amount of GHC 40,000 to defend the Tow levy.
He attempted to bribe me with an amount of Ghc 40,000 as cash for fuel but I declined because I have made up my mind never to support this tow levy.
Abronye also alleged that he has a list of NDC communicators who have been bribed by the Jostpong boss to defend the policy on radio and TV.
He however denied reports that he has been summoned by the Economic and Organized crime office (EOCO), to respond to allegations of corruption against the CEO of Jostpong group of companies.
According to him, he received a call from someone who introduced himself as EOCO boss inviting him to a meeting at a location other than the EOCO office to which he disagreed.
”Though he assured me there was nothing to be afraid of, I told him I would prefer to meet him at the EOCO office for the proposed meeting because, if you are the boss at EOCO you have an office so I promised to meet him at his office,” he revealed.
Reports were rife that Abronye as he is popularly called was ordered to report to EOCO to answer questions on allegations he levelled against the Chief executive officer of JOSPONG group of companies on the road toll levy.
Mr Kwame Baffoe stated categorically that the EOCO boss never summoned him for questioning on the said allegations during the whole phone conversation, adding that, ”I don’t believe they can even call to question me on any allegations”.
According to him, the Economic and Organized crime office has failed to investigate a lot of corruption allegations levelled against some individuals of the past NDC administration and as such does not have the moral right to invite him for questioning.
”It would be disrespectful to invite me for questioning when Hon. James Kludze Avedzi was not summoned by EOCO to provide evidence for his bribery allegations against MPs by the national lottery authority”, he stressed.
