SHS Placement Date Extended by Gov’t

The ministry of education and the Ghana education service have again announced an extension of the Tuesday, September 5th deadline for the schools placement system to September 8th.
This comes as a result of various complains from parents and students who could not gain access to the provided website to do the placement exercise because of poor network.
Checks by Otec FM since Saturday revealed that accessibility to the placement website had become a hard nut to crack.
Speaking in an interview with Otec FM, member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano south-west constituency and vice chairman for the Parliamentary select committee on education, Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu apologized on behalf of the government and the education ministry, and revealed that the date has been extended to this weekend.
“We have heard the cry and complaints from Ghanaians and I believe it was wise to consider an extension of the date for fairness sake”, Mr Johnson added.
He assured that the problem with the system has been solved and is now active and ready to serve students who want to know their schools.
Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu however stressed that, despite the extension of the date, reporting date for new students into the various senior high schools remains 11th of this month (September ) and warned students and parents to grab the chance.
Meanwhile, the education ministry has announced a new website, www.cssps.gov.gh as the platform for the placement exercise.
