
The Late Vida Frema Bonsu,
The mortal remains of the late Kumasi Girls Senior High School tutor Vida FremaBonsu, who was mysteriously found dead in her police boyfriend room, was finally interred and buried at the Krapa Cemetery in the Ejisu -Juabeng Municipality.
Miss Vida FremaBonsu was buried at midday on Thursday, February 22, 2018, after many family members, colleagues, students as well as other mourners bid farewell to the Home Economics tutor.
Miss Vida Fremawas on Monday, 29 January 2018, found dead in the room of her police boyfriend at Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central District of the Ashanti Region.
According to police in the area, the boyfriend of the deceased, Sergeant Bright Opoku, who is with the Konongo Divisional Police command, reported that he left Vida Frema in his room for work on the morning of the incident.
When he returned in the evening, he found her hanging in the bedroom.
Police also discovered a cut on her lower arm and a blood-stained knife in the far corner of the room.
The Family of the deceased had earlier stated that they suspected foul play in the death of Miss Vida Frema Bonsu.
The Ashanti regional police command in a statement said that an autopsy conducted on the33-year-old tutor indicated that she died by hanging.
The police in a statement was which issued and signed by the Deputy Ashanti regional police commander DCOP Fred Adu Anim on Friday, February 2, 2018 further added that some content from the guts of the deceased has been given to the Ghana Standard Authority for analytical tests since there was an indication that the deceased might have ingested some poison before hanging herself.
Otec News’ Isaac Nsiah Foster, gathered that the police boyfriend of late Vida FremaBonsu who was arrested in connection with the death, sergeant Bright Opoku has since been granted bail after the release of the autopsy reports.
The father of the deceased Nana Bonsu who spoke to OTECNEWS said they do not accept the report and called for thorough investigation into the issue.
According to Nana Bonsu, there is no way her daughter would have hanged herself. He says even though they have trust in the police, they still demand a proper investigation.
Nana Bonsu wondered why they as a family were not invited by the police to witness when their daughter was found dead hanging before taking her to the morgue.
