No vehicle to convey Maj. Mahama’s alleged killers; case adjourned to March 5
The trial of the alleged killers of military officer Major Maxwell Mahama has been adjourned to March 5, 2018.
The adjournment became necessary owing to the inability of the suspects to appear in court on time.
The vehicle which was supposed to have conveyed the 14 suspects to the court broke down.
Reports further indicated that there was no alternative means of transport to convey the suspects to court for the trial.
The presiding judge, Justice Mariama Owusu said a short notice was given to her regarding the situation. She again told both counsels to agree on a date for the matter to be heard.
However, Chief State Attorney Evelyn Keelson told the Court of Appeal Judge , Justice Mariama Owusu, that, the suspects are currently on remand warrant and requested they should be placed on trial warrant.
