Chelsea fan dies at Asuoyeboah after defeat to Barcelona

A 24-year-old fan of Chelsea FC at Asuoyeboah in the Kumasi Metropolis, Emmanuel Offin, has died after collapsing during their humiliating defeat suffered at the hands is FC Barcelona on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Offin, a mobile phone dealer, described by family members as a staunch Chelsea supporter, died on the way home after fainting just minutes to the final whistle in yesterday’s Champions League quarter final clash with FC Barcelona.

Otecnews’ Reporter, Rhoda Dankwa, who visited the family house of  the late Nana Yaw at Asuoyeboah on Thursday, March 15, 2018 reported that the body has been deposited at Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

Brother of the deceased who spoke on OTEC FM’S NYANSAPO programme said the death of their brother has really come as a big blow to the family.

The wife of the deceased identified only as Linda in an interview confirmed the news to Otec FM.

Police at Abuakwa have launched an investigation whilst family of the deceased continues to mourn.
