Tafo-Pankrono Police investigates stabbing of JHS 3 student

Police at the Tafo-Pankrono Divisional Command in the Ashanti Region have begun investigations into the death of a 16-year-old final year student of the Tafo Methodist Junior High School who was stabbed to death on Saturday.

The deceased, 16-year-old Isaac Arko by some unknown assailants.

Although the Police have not revealed the exact details, an eyewitness said the crime said four young men armed with sticks and knives attacked the deceased.

One of the suspects who has been identified as Evankon Mohammed and three others are currently at large as the police say they are working assiduously to bring them to book.

It remains unclear what may have triggered the group’s attack on the young man.

The mother of the deceased, Abena Acheampomaa, who narrated the incident to OTECNEWS said the attackers subjected her son to severe beatings and later stabbed him in the ribs.

She said he was rushed to the Tafo Government Hospital by a good samaritan but was later pronounced dead.

She accused the nurses at the hospital of negligence, saying they caused her son’s death.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at Ebenezer Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
