COP Ken Yeboah bids Asanteman Council farewell

The outgoing Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, has commended the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, for the support he enjoyed from Manhyia Palace, for his years as the Ashanti Regional Police Commander.

According to him, the unflinching support he enjoyed both from the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) and the people, as well as his colleague officers, enabled him to make major gains.

COP Ken Yeboah, on Monday, May 7, 2018, was reassigned to the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra as Director General, Technical.

COP Ken Yeboah, who was speaking at  a mini durbar at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Thursday, May 31, 2018, to bid the Asanteman Council farewell, thanked the Asantehene and all the chiefs in the region for the support they gave to him during his one and half year stay in the region.

“My administration has seen the needed security transformation and therefore I commend you the Asantehene, the Kumasi Traditional Council and other various key stakeholders, particularly the police personnel and the media for their efforts been exhibiting in maintaining law and order, despite all the manpower and logistical constraints,” he happily addressed the chiefs.

COP Ken Yeboah indicated that “my biggest challenge in the Ashanti region in my tenure was the activities of Delta Force. The media pressure and the barrage of criticisms was a baptism of fire to me and a lesson I have learnt as I moved to the police headquarters in Accra,” he contended.
