Ghanaian-US based philanthropist donates to Valley View University

A Ghanaian-US based philanthropist, Felix A. Antwi, has donated sorted text books to the Nursing Department of the Valley View University, Techiman campus, in the Brong Ahafo region, on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Presenting the books which worth $1,500, Mr. Antwi said though he is domiciled in the United States of America, it was a way he can contribute his quota to the growth of the educational system in the country, particularly in the health delivery.
“The books I have donated are new editions and I believe it will help the students to catch with the new trends in the educational system across the world, especially in the health industry. Its also a way of helping the education system in Ghana to develop, the government alone cannot provide all the needed logistics in the education sector, it has other areas too,” he said.
Receiving the books on behalf of the school, the President of the Northern Ghana Union of Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), Pastor Kwaning Boakye expressed his appreciation to the kind gesture and promised to put the books into proper use.
“This is the first of its kind happening to the school and I would like to use this occasion to appeal to individuals, organizations and other corporate bodies to follow suit in the development of our education system in the country,” he appealed.
