A forensic Chartered Accountant, Mr. Awuni Akyireba, has described the Ashanti Regional executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a “confused entity coated with fouls” that needs to “rethink” if they want to appreciate their electoral votes in the region.
According to the political analyst, “uncivilized behavior” demonstrated by the regional executives at the party’s office in Kumasi that prevented a contender to the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawasi constituency to file his forms must be condemned.
His response comes after a “hide and seek” tactics adopted by the regional executives that frustrated Masawudu Mubarick, a parliamentary contender and his supporters to get access to the office to file his nomination.
Speaking on Otec FM’s afternoon political talk show ‘DWABEREM’ hosted by Agya Wusu Ansah, the controversial political analyst described the action to prevent Masawudu Mubarick to contest the Minority Chief Whip as “completely out of sense and must not tolerated in any way”.
He wondered why a party that boast of been born out of “democracy” executives would behave in such a manner to deny a candidate from contesting.
Awuni Akyireba, however, called on the National executives and leadership of the party to attend to the issue and address it with immediately to prevent division in the party that might caused their electoral votes fortunes.
