COVID-19: Ghana Premier League returns Oct. 30 – Akufo-Addo

The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his update number 17 on the easing of COVID-19 restrictions has indicated that, in consultation with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Ghana Premier League and the Division One League (DOL) will resume on Friday 30th October, 2020.
All safety protocols would be adhered to, and all players will be tested. There will be no fans at the various match venues.
According to the president after deep consultations with the ministry of youth and sports, the ghana football association and other stakeholders, a decision has been reached to allow clubs in Ghana premier league and division one league to return to playing football.
He said, footballer clubs can resume training from Friday 30th October, 2020.
He added that when football matches resume, only 25 percent of spectators will be allowed at the various football venues.
This comes as a huge boast to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Obuasi AshantGold who are representing Ghana in CAF champions league and CAF confederation cup respectively.
