The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Justin Frimpong Kodua,

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Justin Frimpong Kodua, says there are growing felling that the General Secretary or the National Chairman position in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) needs to be occupied by a party member from the Ashanti region.

This, he said, will be a long way appreciation to the region which has been considered as the strong-hold for the party, which has faithfully served and win political powers for the party in the years 2000, 2004, 2016 and 2020.

He emphatically stated that the NPP will never win a political power without the votes of the Ashanti region, therefore, the region needs at least one topmost national position as its ‘fair share’.

Justin Frimpong Kodua, who was a former Youth Secretary for the NPP in the Ashanti region, stated this during an interview on Otec FM’s political show “Dwabrem”, hosted by Isaac Osei Akoto, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

He said being a faithful Ashanti region party member, he felt it will be an honour if he (Justin Kodua) is selected to represent them (Ashanti) to contest for the General Secretary position.

“The Ashanti region has been the stronghold for the NPP since the party inception, winning all the political powers for the party. It will be an honour for a party member in the region to be the National Chairman or the General Secretary,” he said.

Asked by the host if he had any intention of contesting a position at the national level, he answered “If by any chance the region has recognized my commitment, faithfulness, dedication and wants me to represent them at the national level, I will gladly do so”.

“I have heard and receive calls by party supporters in the region who want me to represent them and I won’t hesitate to grab that golden opportunity,” he confirms.
