KNUST lecturers have returned to the lecture halls
Lecturers at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have returned to the classroom.
A visit to the KNUST campus on Monday, 28 February 2022 revealed that most lecturers had resumed lectures.
Some students who spoke to newsmen expressed their excitement over the resumption of academic activities and called on the government to address the concerns of the lecturers in order to keep them in class.
A student said: “The lecturers came, they came to lecture us and we left”.
“What I’ll say is that they should take their time while lecturing…”
“I’ll like the government to give us whatever they want so that they can come to class.”
Another student said: “The lecturers are coming; there’s no strike anymore, so, everything is OK.”
Meanwhile, the various arms of the University Teachers Association of Ghana are expected to wind up decisions on the suspension of the strike by the National Executive Committee (NEC).
The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) arm of UTAG is the only group that has supported the NEC’s suspension of the strike so far.
