NPP nominations for constituency, branch polls must be transparent – Group

The Listening Platform, a pro NPP group has called on the party executives to ensure transparency in the internal polls which will see the election of officials from the various constituencies, branches and chapters.
The group which aims to disseminate the good deeds of the New Patriotic Party in the rural areas cautioned that they should not allow themselves to be manipulated by anybody to create confusion in the party through the polls.
They say anything that takes away from the peace in the party is a loophole the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can exploit in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking to otec fm’s Kwaku Anane Junior on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, the Leading Servant of the group, Mr. Alpha Asamoah appealed to the party Members to eschew discrimination and association with evil acts such as the invocation of deities that are likely to mar the peace and progress of the party.
“The party executives responsible for the nominations and the internal poll should not do anything that would give credence to the perception of unfairness and a lack of transparency”.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened nominations for its internal polls which will see the election of officials from the various constituencies, branches and chapters.
