The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its commitment to improving the lives in Zongo communities when they win the 2024 elections.
The party has outlined some initiatives that include Women’s Development Bank, where women can access free to low interest loans to grow and expand their businesses.
The National Apprenticeship Program to address the rate of unemployment through vocational training, is also another initiative to help improve their lives.
The Deputy National Communication Office for the NDC Zongo Caucus, Hajia Shamima Muslim, made the statement during a mini rally at Taakrom in the Atwima Mponua constituency in the Ashanti region, on Wednesday.
She was accompanied by national, regional, constituency, and branch executives of the party.
Some of the initiates she also mentioned included Women in Agriculture, Empowering Youth in Digital Skills, and the 24-Hour Economy Policy.
With these and other good education, agricultural, and health policies, Shamima Muslim emphasized the NDC’s commitment and loyalty to Zongo communities.
Shamima Muslims stated that the life-changing policies would be feasible only if they vote massively for John Mahama in the December 7 polls to be president.
“John Mahama and NDC have outlined job-creation, education, health, business development and financing , and digital policies to improve livelihoods within the zongo communities,” she said.
“All he needs from us is to vote massively for him on Saturday, December 7 to be president to implement these policies,” she added.
She reminded them how President Nana Akufo and his vice Dr Mahamudu Bawumia have failed the Zongo communities, after the lofty promises made to them in the past. v
She posited that none of the promises the NPP made during the 2016 and 2020 elections was fulfilled, a clear indication of another neglect if NPP come to power again.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, a Muslim, and his NPP have clearly shown their rejection of the Zongo communities, and we must also reject their incompetent and discriminatory leadership by voting for the NDC and John Mahama.”
