Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, the Director of Legal Affairs for the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that Ashanti and Kwawhu businessmen are among the worst affected groups under the Akuffo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
According to Tamakloe, the government’s poor handling of the exchange rate has crippled major businesses that were once thriving under the leadership of Ashanti and Kwawu business moguls.
Tamakloe made these comments during an exclusive interview on Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM’s afternoon political show, Dwabrem, on Wednesday.
He emphasized that the NPP government’s abysmal performance makes them unfit to lead Ghana again.
Tamakloe warned Ghanaians that voting for the NPP would be disastrous for Ghana’s economy.
The NDC’s criticism of the NPP’s economic management is not new. Tamakloe’s comments echo his previous statements, where he expressed disappointment in the President’s handling of the economy, particularly in the Ashanti region.
